Noname, born Fatimah Nyeema Warner on September 18, 1991, is an American rapper. She began rapping and performing slam poetry in 2010. She gained wider recognition in 2013 for her appearance on the track 'Lost' from Chance the Rapper's mixtape Acid Rap. In 2016, she released her debut mixtape, Telefone, which received critical acclaim. Her debut album, Room 25, was released in 2018 and also received positive reviews. Noname is a member of the musical supergroup Ghetto Sage, alongside rappers Smino and Saba. Since 2019, she has operated the Noname Book Club, which emphasizes radical texts by authors of color.
