Green Day are developing a comedy film about teens chasing concert dreams
Three teenage friends embark on a road trip after mistakenly believing they'll open for Green Day at a New Year's Eve concert.

Green Day are set to develop a new coming-of-age comedy film 'New Years Rev', inspired by their early touring experiences.
The film follows three best friends, played by Mason Thames, Kylr Coffman, and Ryan Foust, who mistakenly believe they are scheduled to open for Green Day at a New Year's Eve concert in Los Angeles. The story chronicles their journey as they travel to California in a van.
'The Office' stars Jenna Fischer and Angela Kinsey have joined the cast in supporting roles. Lee Kirk is attached to write and direct the project, with Green Day members Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt, and Tre Cool serving as producers alongside Live Nation.
The film marks Live Nation Productions' latest music-focused project, following their recent announcement of 'Rolling Loud', starring Owen Wilson. The production company previously worked on the 2018 'A Star Is Born'.
