Gwenno Mererid Saunders, born on 23 May 1981, is a Welsh-Cornish musician who performs under the mononym Gwenno. She released four solo albums: Y Dydd Olaf in 2014, which won the Welsh Music Prize; Le Kov in 2018, her first album in the Cornish language; Tresor in 2022, which was shortlisted for the Mercury Prize; and Utopia in 2025. Prior to her solo career, she was a singer in the indie pop group the Pipettes, whose debut album We Are the Pipettes received critical recognition.

Welsh artist Gwenno announces her fourth album 'Utopia' and releases 'Dancing On Volcanoes', her first predominantly English-language single.

Gwenno and rEDOLENT named as regional ambassadors for 2025's Independent Venue Week, joining national ambassador YolanDa Brown.

The track is taken from forthcoming album 'Tresor', which is set to arrive on 1st July via Heavenly Recordings.
