Lonely the Brave are an English alternative rock band from Cambridge, formed in 2008. The band members include Mark Trotter on lead guitar, Gavin Edgeley on drums, Andrew Bushen on bass, Ross Smithwick on rhythm guitar, and Jack Bennett, who joined as lead vocalist in 2018 and departed in 2026. Smithwick joined the band in 2014. Their influences include Bruce Springsteen, Pearl Jam, and Deftones. A journalist described their sound as "Biffy Clyro-shaped stadium rock." In March 2018, the band announced that David Jakes would be leaving due to mental health reasons. In August 2018, Jack Bennett joined the band to fill the lead vocal role. In April 2020, they released the single 'Bound' with Bennett on Easy Life Records, which was premiered on BBC Radio 1. Bennett confirmed in January 2026 that he was no longer with the band as they had parted ways.
