Justin Drew Bieber, born on March 1, 1994, is a Canadian singer. He gained prominence in the late 2000s with his debut extended play, My World (2009), which received international recognition and established him as a teen idol. His debut album, My World 2.0 (2010), topped the US Billboard 200, making him the youngest solo male to do so in 47 years. The album's lead single, "Baby," became one of the best-selling singles in the United States, and its music video became the most disliked on YouTube. His second album, Under the Mistletoe (2011), was the first Christmas album by a male artist to debut at the top of the chart. With his third album, Believe (2012), and its acoustic re-release, Bieber became the first artist in Billboard's history to have five US number-one albums by age 18. After a series of controversies, he released the EDM-influenced single "Where Are Ü Now" in 2015. His fourth album, Purpose (2015), included the US Billboard Hot 100 number-one singles "Love Yourself," "Sorry," and "What Do You Mean?".
