Cloud

From Promise Everything (Deluxe)2017

Written by Andrew Fisher

Produced by Sam Pura

Lyrics

Cloud

I was standing on a cloud, Hoping to fall down, And land beneath your feet, For you to walk on me, And follow close the line, With each step across my spine, So I can take the pain, To help me breathe.

Slowly, Lift me if you can. Hold me, In the centre of your hand. Show me, What it means to be a man. Slowly, Close your fingers down.

Basement on Dork

Basement have announced a 2027 tour including London’s Roundhouse

Fleshwater and Beton Arme open across all but the tour's Spanish opener.

The June 2026 issue of Dork is available now, featuring Bleachers, Towa Bird and Myles Smith

This month's issue is full of self-belief, slow-burn growth, hard-earned honesty and the sort of records that arrive when artists trust their own instincts.

Basement embrace "the wheels falling off" on their new album 'WIRED'

After major label pressure, near-breakups and some long, honest conversations, Ipswich alt-rock favourites Basement are back doing things their way.

Outbreak Fest 2026 has added Joyce Manor, Loathe and more to its Manchester lineup

Lip Critic, Shady Nasty, I Promised The World and Algernon Cadwallader also among new additions.
