Fletcher has debuted a new track, ‘Better Version’

It's described as the flipside to recent single 'Becky's So Hot'.

Current Dork cover star and future pop main character Fletcher has shared a brand new single, ‘Better Version’.

Described as a flipside to her recent megabop ‘Becky’s So Hot’, the track is the latest to come from her debut album ‘Girl Of My Dreams’, set to arrive this Friday, 16th September.

“It’s a sad reality that after a relationship ends, the next person is going to get the better version of you: the more evolved, more healed, the one who’s worked through their bad habits or communication issues,” Fletcher explains. “This song is me trying to accept that someone else will get the better version of my ex, and someone else will get the better version of me.”

“I was crying when I recorded the demo for ‘Better Version,’ and we ended up keeping that vocal instead of re-cutting it,” she continues. “I love that we were able to capture the pure intention of what I felt as I was writing that song.”

Fletcher is one of four cover stars for the October 2022 edition of Dork. You can grab her variant here, or – if you’re a Dork Supporter – read the full cover story here. If you’re not, you can join up here, or wait until it unlocks for all later this month.
