Birmingham band JAWS release nostalgic Christmas single 'Like This Year' as they prepare for their final shows in 2025.
JAWS have announced a new Christmas single, 'Like This Year', alongside news of their farewell shows set for 2025.
The Birmingham dream-pop four-piece's new track arrives as a reflection on the festive period. "I wrote this song a couple of Christmas's ago at my parents' house after seeing a close friend I'd not seen for a long time," explains Connor Schofield.
"I'd always wanted to do a song set at Christmas without it being cheesy, I think it's a reflective nostalgic time of year and I wanted to try and capture that sonically and lyrically.
"This song is for all the family I don't see as often as I should, the friends I need to check in with more often and all the relationships that didn't work out in the past 12 months."
The band formed in Birmingham in 2012; they have since released three albums - 'Be Slowly', 'Simplicity' and 'The Ceiling' - alongside two EPs.
