The Maine have shared the first episode of their '8123' podcast series, featuring Eric Halvorsen of A Rocket To The Moon and Cobra Starship fame. You can listen to the podcast, hosted by The Maine's Pat Kirch and Garrett Nickelsen, in the player below.

Drummer Kirch teased last week that he and bassist Garrett Nickelsen would be releasing the '8123' podcast at the start of the year.

At the start of the year me and @garrettmaine will be launching the official @8123 podcast. Random topics each week, interviewing friends and other bands. Already have 5 episodes finished. Something fun to listen to next time you’re stuck in traffic.

Kirch also revealed that there'll be podcasts on each of The Maine's albums, starting with 2013's Forever Halloween, and interviews with fellow musicians, including David Knox of Real Friends. The Maine are due to wrap their 'Modern Nostalgia' tour next month in Australia, performing their two most recent albums, 'Lovely Little Lonely' and 'American Candy' in full.
