  • November 9, 2022

Stormzy has confirmed a takeover of London’s Victoria Park next summer, which will be the rapper’s only UK performance of 2023.

Titled ‘This Is What We Mean Day’, the British grime artist will headline a line-up of “incredible artists, music, and vibes”. The event is in collaboration with All Points East, and will take place on Friday August 18th, 2023.

The full line-up for the day is currently unconfirmed, but Stormzy is set to curate a bill of acclaimed artists to warm up attendees before his headline performance. The news was announced via social media platforms with the following clip:

“I said to the team, we gotta do something bigger, something better, something different,” Stormzy recalls of the inspiration behind the new event. “We were having back-to-back meetings, bouncing ideas. Then it hit me, I started jotting down ideas thinking – live band, need a live band. August 2023, a summer time thing, outside, for the people, always for my people. So August 2023, Victoria Park, more info coming soon….This Is What We Mean Day. Hard.”

Tickets for the exclusive event will be available here from 10 am next Tuesday, November 15th, for those who pre-order Stormzy’s new album, ‘This Is What I Mean’. General sale will then open 48 hours later.

‘This Is What I Mean’, is set to arrive on November 25th – you can pre-order the record here. The full tracklist reads as below:
