Wednesday's new single 'Pick Up That Knife' was inspired by feelings of helplessness (and throwing up in a moshpit)
Wednesday release third single from upcoming album 'Bleeds', set to arrive via Dead Oceans on September 19th.

Wednesday have announced their new single 'Pick Up That Knife', from their upcoming album 'Bleeds', set for release on 19th September via Dead Oceans.
The new track arrives as the third preview of the record, following previous singles 'Elderberry Wine' and 'Wound Up Here (By Holdin On)'. The album was recorded at Drop of Sun in Asheville with producer Alex Farrar, who has worked with the band since 'Twin Plagues'.
"'Pick Up That Knife' is a song that revolves around feelings of helplessness, when every minor inconvenience hurts double cause you're close to giving up. It's also about when our pedal steel player Xandy threw up in the moshpit during the Death Grips set at Primavera Sound in 2023," explains band leader Karly Hartzman.
