'Fluorescents' by Casey is a 2018 rock track from the album 'Where I Go When I Am Sleeping'. The lyrics circle apology and concern, with images of hurt, worried blood, and medicine that does damage. Sleep and waking become a kind of trap, as the speaker asks for the lights to be turned off, then describes eyes that ache and a glare-like internal vision. There is a persistent sense of trying to settle the body after strain, even when the mind cannot quite stop flickering, the closing lines pointing at “phosphenes” that are hard to shake.
"Fluorescents" is a single by Casey, from the album Where I Go When I Am Sleeping, released 16th March 2018. The track is 4:30 long. It's filed under Rock. Full lyrics are available below. Dork has published 2 articles about Casey.
