‘Ghost’ by Casey is a 2014 track from the album ‘Haze’. The lyrics imagine someone vanishing without warning, leaving an empty bed and a note that frames the departure as an inability to live with who they have become. The narrator questions whether anyone would even notice they are gone, then returns to the emotional afterimage of a shared space, with the speaker stuck staring into the absence where they used to be. There is also an angry, intimate sting in the line “I always fucking hated that distance in your eyes”.
"Ghost" is a track by Casey, from the album Haze, released 18th May 2014. Full lyrics are available below. Dork has published 2 articles about Casey.
