'Faith' arrives as the third single from Ghost's fourth studio album, Prequelle, adopting the perspective of a malevolent observer surveying human weakness and hypocrisy. The song builds around a simple, hypnotic refrain: "I am all eyes / I am all ears / I am the wall / And I'm watching you fall." It's a portrait of omniscient malice, delivered with the band's characteristic blend of theatrical menace and hook-driven rock. The lyrics pivot between specific targets: religious corruption, the willful ignorance of those who reject progress, the machinery of accusation and judgment. Ghost frames these as symptoms of a deeper spiritual rot, one the song's narrator claims dominion over. Producer Tom Dalgety shapes the track into something lean and propulsive, letting the repetition work its hypnotic effect rather than piling on orchestral flourish. The result is a song that trades Ghost's more elaborate arrangements for directness and momentum.
"Faith" is a track by Ghost, from the album Prequelle, released 31st May 2018. The track is 4:30 long. It's filed under Metal. Full lyrics are available below. Dork has published 12 articles about Ghost.
