About This Track

'Fire' arrives as a propulsive statement of intent, built on a simple and effective mantra. The track moves through its runtime with the kind of kinetic energy that suggests a band confident in their ability to sustain a single idea, repeating the title phrase until it becomes less a declaration than a physical force. Sergio Pizzorno's writing keeps the lyrical landscape deliberately sparse, cycling through paired images of surrender and aggression, desire and dominance, without settling into narrative. The song's architecture rests on momentum rather than variation. A hypnotic rhythm underpins verses that trade between vulnerability and swagger, whilst the chorus offers no melodic relief, only intensification. There's a studied restraint to the production that lets the repetition do the work, each iteration of "I'm on fire" landing with the weight of something earned rather than asserted. It's the sound of a band understanding that sometimes the most effective rock song is the one that refuses to let go.
