About This Track

'Brick' by Mk.gee is an Alternative track from the album 'Fool' (2018). The lyrics cast the speaker as a small, stuck-on-the-outside figure facing something immovable, using rock and wall imagery to weigh up rejection, persistence and the wish to fit. A standout motif is a call to “Michael, Michael” amid the repeated attempt to become the kind of block that can be laid beside another, ending with a sense of stubborn, repeated effort.

"Brick" is a track by Mk.gee, from the album Fool, released 16th November 2018. The track is 3:44 long. It's filed under Alternative. Full lyrics are available below. Dork has published 2 articles about Mk.gee.

Lyrics

Brick

You're the big rock, I'm the little stone

You don't seem to budge when I come

No you don't

You're a big wall, I'm a little stoned

All the other bricks went through holes

Michael, Michael

It's not like I never tried

To be the brick you lay with at night

At night

I tried, I tried

It's not often that you'd see

Big rock with a little stone like me

Anyway

I love you but it don't seem right

It don't seem

It don't seem right

(I love you but it don't seem right)
