About This Track
'Lime St.' finds Neck Deep in the wreckage of a relationship, circling back to the place where it all began. The song opens with apology and doubt, the narrator asking whether he's held someone back, whether he's failed too many times. There's a desperate need for space and time, but also a prayer that connection survives the distance. The chorus lands on a simple, aching question: is it too late to say sorry for the things he does? The title location becomes the emotional anchor. He meets her on Lime Street, where she stands shy in her father's jacket, one cigarette left between them. It's a moment he swears he'll always keep, a memory so vivid it feels like salvation. The song cycles through its plea repeatedly, the world spinning on its axis and bringing him back to the same place, the same regret, the same refrain: "oh God, not this again". What emerges is a portrait of someone trying his best, wanting the relationship as long as she does, but haunted by the possibility that his efforts will never be enough.
