About This Track
'Shame' by POND is an alternative track from the album 'Tasmania' (2019), its lyrics charging from reckless youth towards regret and dread. The narrator watches young love turn corrosive, with references to excess and bodily consequences, before the mood darkens into finality, fear and ritualised submission. A line like “Young hearts run free” sets up the contrast with what follows: looming endings, collective pleading, and a spiritual language of power cast as sin. The result is a confrontational, grimly fatalistic sweep, where romance curdles into damage and the future closes down fast.
"Shame" is a track by POND, from the album Tasmania, released 1st March 2019. The track is 4:51 long. It's filed under Alternative. Full lyrics are available below. Dork has published 5 articles about POND.
