Jenny Hval has shared news of a forthcoming album.
Titled 'Classic Objects', the full-length will arrive via 4AD on 11th March, and is previewed by a new taster from it, 'Year of Love'.
Her first music of 2022, it'll appear on the album alongside last year's 'Jupiter'.
The song is inspired by a proposal during a performance a few years ago. "For me, this experience was very troubling," she explains. "It confronted me with the fact that I am also married. What does that detail from my private life say about me as an artist? "Year of Love" asks, who am I as an artist? Do my private actions betray my work and voice?"
The album 'Classic Objects' is formed through a series of short stories written about Hval's own life.
