Spice Girls have officially become legal tender with a Royal Mint coin
Available for purchase online from today, 3rd March 2026.

The Royal Mint has introduced a commemorative coin to celebrate 30 years since the Spice Girls debuted with 'Wannabe' and their album 'Spice'.
The coin, which adds the group to The Royal Mint’s Music Legends series, features the silhouettes and autographs of all five members, marking the first time a band's autographs have been included on a UK commemorative coin.
The coin is part of a collection that allows fans to choose packaging featuring their favourite Spice Girl, with designs dedicated to Baby, Ginger, Posh, Scary and Sporty Spice. Each packaging design is limited to 15,000 coins worldwide.
The Spice Girls expressed their excitement, stating: "It's a huge honour for us to be celebrated by The Royal Mint and follow in the footsteps of some true music icons. 2026 marks a special year for us as we celebrate the 30th anniversary of our debut single and album. We could never have imagined that we would be recognised in this way - the first female group to be given their very own coin... what a moment for Girl Power!"
The Music Legends series has previously celebrated artists such as Freddie Mercury, Elton John and David Bowie. The Spice Girls coin is available from The Royal Mint website starting 3rd March 2026.
