"Thank U" Is a Prayer

I wrote the song "Thank U" shortly after having coming back from India. I spent a little bit of time in Cuba. And I realize that the most potent way for me to tap into my own spirituality was through gratitude, you know. So, gratitude for any situation, whether it was a, you know, a pleasurable one or a difficult one because ultimately, they all were opportunities for me to, to grow up, you know, and to evolve, so. So whenever I perform that song live, or whenever I even think back to the, the time whеn I was writing it, I was just, that whole time, whethеr it's the four minutes on stage or otherwise, it's just imbued with this sense of spirit for me, a sense of connection, and this sense of humility. Like, I just, when I sing it too, I just wish that I could perform it. I don't, but I wish I could perform it on my knees, you know. It's like a, it's like a prayer to me. I think prayers of appreciation are the highest form of prayer.
